Kasumi Ejiri: Manager
Professor Vivienne Johnson, a friend and supporter of artists here for over thirty years, first introduced Kasumi to the community in May 2007 when Kasumi was involved with holding a printmaking workshop.
Kasumi has been managing the Papunya Tjupi Art Centre since June 2008. In this time she has overseen the move into the new permanent premises in the centre of town and developed strong relationships with the artists and workers.
Kasumi holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Hons from CoFA, UNSW.
Simon Taylor: Assistant Manager
Simon Taylor is a practising artist who exhibits with Martin Browne Fine Art in Sydney. He has recently completed his Masters in Fine Arts Painting at CoFA, UNSW.
Simon works part time at the art centre, whilst also pursuing his own painting career.
Isabel Major and Patrick Poulson: Art Workers
Patrick and Isobel were both born in Alice Springs and have lived in Papunya their whole lives. They have worked at the Art Centre since its beginnings in 2007, when it was being run from a local residential house. As a couple, they have been married for over 15 years and have four children together.
Isobel’s is also a painter at the centre. Her grandfather was Billy Stockman, and her mother Punata Stockman is the Chairperson.
